AVENUE ARCANA

Modern Creative Media

Hi, I’m CL Stegall, the Founder and Director of Avenue Arcana media. I came up with the idea for AAm as a need to excise the monsters of creativity that inhabit my strange and overcrowded mind. AAm will serve as the home for all of my artistic endeavors. I sincerely hope you find something here to entertain you and maybe even learn a few things along the way!

I’ve always been “a creative.” The Wife has informed me I have a 50/50 brain…half analytical and half creative. An even distribution of wild and serious. With Avenue Arcana, all will be revealed for the world to see. (And, likely critique.)

An Intrinsic Love for The Craft

Capturing Magic Through The Lens

I’ve had a love for awesome photography since I held my first Polaroid Instant camera. The way you could capture a special moment, beautiful landscape or someone’s personality on film always seemed a little bit like magic. With years of professional photo experience – from California to North Carolina to Texas – I’ve developed that magic in my own photography style.

Whether it’s a graduation, wedding, new baby, family portrait or other event you’d like captured, I’d be delighted to apply that magical touch through amazing art photography.

Fiction and Audio Storytelling

One Artistic Eye Serving Another

Over the years, I’ve developed a relentless desire to create written word imagery. Living vicariously through my own characters is a joy unmatched by real life. That’s why it’s called escapism, right?

For decades I have written short stories, novellas and novels. I’ve experimented with online fiction series and even owned my own publishing company (Dark Red Press) for years. I served as CEO, Chief Creative Officer and Senior Editor and worked with my partners to published some of the most innovative modern fiction we could.

Taking the next step in my storytelling journey, upcoming projects include a future-noir limited podcast series that explores a cyberpunk-ish world of our own making. As well, there will be audio versions of several previous written works.

Traditional Art

Putting brush to canvas

Although not often enough, I do enjoy breaking out the paints and letting my mind and heart guide my hands in a more traditional manner.

More will be slipping out of my creativity, I’m sure.
